"Café de la Torre crafts specialty Colombian coffee, promoting fair trade and supporting local producers"
We, Felix (food scientist) and Yodi (designer) are the founders of Café de la Torre in Colombia. Through our and roastery we are able to commercialize our family’s farm coffees directly to the end consumer, bypassing intermediaries and securing fairer compensation for our work.
Our finca Hoyo Frío sits at 2000 m.as.l. in Curití (Santander Region), where we focus on micro lots of shade-grown Arabica varieties including Tipica, Bourbons, Gesha, and others. Our unique micro-climate is characterized by moderate temperatures and rich volcanic soils that produce coffee with a medium-to-full body, pronounced acidity, and balanced flavors of chocolate, fruits, and nuts.
Every step of the process, from cultivation to drying, is carefully optimized to produce beans that reflect the rich heritage and known quality of Colombian coffee. Thanks to our effort and vision we are now reaching international customers across the Americas, Europe, and Oceania, much to the pride of our family.
Beyond this, we also want to replicate our success in our communities by extending our support to other producers in Santander, as well as in other areas of the country (e.g., Huila and Caldas regions), making roasted coffee beans directly to you.
