Terms & Conditions
1. Order
1.1. All the coffee is sold only as whole beans and the prices on the website include VAT and delivery, unless otherwise stated. All prices are in DKK (Danish kroner).
1.2. When we have received your order, you will receive the 1st order confirmation per e-mail. However, the order is only valid when you receive 2nd confirmation stating that the joint purchase was sucessful.
1.3. Cafera ApS is the importer who, on behalf of the customers, are responsible for payment of taxes and coordination of transport for the coffee to be delivered to your shipping address.
1.4. We reserve the right to cancel orders without subject to notice on account to mistakes, technical errors, changes in VAT and taxes, and for the producer to report being sold out and force majeure.
2. Joint purchase
2.1. When an order is open with a given coffee producer, we call it a joint purchase. A joint purchase usually runs for 7 days from start to finish. A minimum of 25 kg must be purchased before a coffee grower sends the coffee after a joint purchase. If 25 kg have not been purchased when there are 4 days left, it will automatically be extended by 10 days.
2.2. Joint purchases that end on public holidays (Easter, Great Prayer Day, Ascension Day, Christmas, etc.) will be extended to the next weekday.
3. Payment
3.1. Cafera ApS accepts payment with the following credit cards: VISA, Mastercard, Maestro, ApplePay and GooglePay.
3.2. The payment will be deducted from your account when the joint purchase is closed.
3.3. The listed prices on the website are in DKK and include Danish VAT as well as delivery.
4. Delivery
4.1. Deliveries are made from Monday to Saturday through DAO. If you are not at home, your purchase will be delivered to the nearest parcel shop.
4.2. Our estimated delivery time is typically 7 days after the joint purchase has been closed. However, it may be influenced by other external conditions that we cannot control. We therefore not guarantee the exact delivery times and we do not take responsibility for any delays. Please also note that 2 or more products ordered from the same producer may be delivered days apart - this is completely normal.
4.3. Once your order has arrived to Denmark and has been shipped to your address, a shipping confirmation including the tracking number and link will be sent to the email address provided on the order.
5. Risk
5.1. The risk for the product passes to you as a customer when it is in your possession (cf. 73 of the Danish Købelov). The transfer of risk is thereby no longer our responsibility.
6. Return Policy
6.1. Food items (coffee) are non-refundable under Danish law.
6.2. As a customer, you must notify us that you want to return an item, which must occur within 14 days after the actual delivery has taken place.
6.3. For a full refund, the products must be intact, unopened, and in original packaging. If the product does not live up to these conditions, we will offer only a partial refund.
6.4. If your package is delivered to a parcel shop and you do not pick your package up at the agreed place of delivery or within the timeframe provided by the carrier you do not have a right to a refund.
6.5. Coffee is categorized as being a food product, and the provisions of the Fødevareloven apply.
6.6. You do not have the opportunity to cancel the purchase if the joint-purchase has been closed.
6.7. We are entitled to receive clarification from the customer about what is to happen to the package, in accordance with the request for retention or cancellation of the purchase, within a reasonable time, if a package is returned to us.
6.8. As a company, we are only obliged to repay the purchase price to our customers if you as a customer have explicitly informed us that you have regretted the purchase and want a refund. This must be stated within a reasonable time.
7. Privacy Policy
7.1. In order for you to purchase products on our webshop, we need the following information: name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number. We register your personal data for the purpose of delivering your products. Your information is not passed on or sold to third parties.
